Charles Schulz’s Peanuts have become iconic images in our culture. Snoopy being one of the biggest in the bunch of them. I remember watching all the holiday specials every year when they come on. It was a huge event in my house, like the watching of the Wizard of Oz. Fighting over the Sunday morning paper so I would be the first to read the comics. The Peanuts being one of, if not the headliner of the comics section. Tom Everhart has taken the Peanuts characters and has done large scale paintings of them. He has brought a very colorful pallet into his homage to these delightful characters. I like that he also uses his own sense of humor when rendering Schulz’s characters.
