Mauro Borrelli has done concept art for many movies such as Sleepy Hallow, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, The Planet of the Apes, and Hulk. This is concept piece for Sleepy Hallow; he has this ability to really capture the mood of the story and to help communicate what the director needs. In Sleepy Hallow the movie takes place in a little town during the 1700's; with his pieces he showed the time period with the signature twist of Tim Burtan. In most of his concept art for Sleepy Hallow there was a cool color palette used for the his very sharp and angular illustrations. In this piece also helps to show the scale of the tree compared to a person that could be interacting with it.
