Camila Do Rosário is a fashion illustrator based in Florianópolis, Brazil. I haven’t looked at many fashion illustrations, but this particular artist caught my eye. Her style is loose, mostly using watercolor and pen. It’s apparent that she draws most of her inspiration from fashion. I really am attracted to the way she uses line to create textures and form. This illustration has a lot of rhythm and repetition with patterns and textures, which makes the composition so appealing to me. Also, the figures grabbed my attention immediately. The figures Camila creates always have realistic characteristics in the face, but the bodies are much exaggerated- like most fashion illustrations. However she has a very unique style. This style makes me think of classic caricature drawing. All of the lines are very smooth and clean, which generates a lovely composition.
Is this ink? The textures are fantastic. Her style does totally have a fashion feel to it, but it feels so much more artful and emotive.
