Worst Day comp

I had some major technical issues using the computers at school. Halfway through my computer crashed so I snapped a picture of the screen and went back into photoshop to edit the rest out. The final image is going to be good. From now on I'm doing all my work on my own machines.
Just imagine the conversation that's about to happen
I wouldn't go and say it was a waste of time. You were an experience. A damn decent one at that. The cynicism and self-loathing that came after was sure to happen at some point in life. I just wish there was more time, and yeah,  you gave me fair warning. I didn't listen. I guess i'm just stubborn in that way.

But given the chance. I'd do it all over, not exactly the same, but close to it and with more flair.

Final project Best Day Ever

Ok so it is still pretty rough in the rendering but I figured out the composition with it and decided that I do want it to look like a commemorative photograph from the world series. I decided the year will be 2015. The only thing that is ready to straight into the final composition will be the logo in the lower left corner the layout of the image. I think I will paint it using acrylic because it will be quick to dry and I think I will need several layers of thin paint so that it will have the sheen of a real photograph. In the final rendering the players will be much tighter but I think the background should be somewhat out of focus just to further portray the idea that this is a snapshot of the players realizing they have won the world series.

Worst Experience Ever.

I go to bars by myself. Call me crazy but sometime I just want a beer outside of my house. I was sitting there sipping on my malty beverage when the older, rather plus sized lady sitting next to me gives me the 'please hit on me' look. I looked over and smiled, turned back around and continued to nurse my beer. I went outside for a couple minutes and when I came back and sat down, she gave me the same look and asked "Hey baby, what's your sign?" I moved quickly to the other side of the bar.

Final Project- Best Day Ever (concept sketch)

As a Chicago Cubs fan we all say how it will never happen in our lifetime, but wouldn't it be great if it did? If the Chicago Cubs would actually win a world series before I drop dead (maybe that would be the cause). I was having a difficult time coming up with a concept because I could not think of something that was so fantastic yet somewhat realistic and then it hit me, kinda like the recent lottery its a one in a million likelihood that they will win. I am positive ( think you kind of have to be otherwise you wouldn't have any hair left) that it will happen within the next 3-5 years. The impossible becoming possible, grown men crying hugging each other, for that instant after they clinch the win would be the greatest moment. Then rioting, binge drinking, and the realization of living on the north side was the worse decision made.
As for the drawing I plan on the setting of Wrigely becoming more prominent. I want it to look like an actual world series official photograph. The composition need work and the fans in the background that are represented currently by squiggly lines will be tightened up because I think their expression will be just as important - if not more so- for the piece. I am not sure what medium, probably colored pencils our watercolors but we'll see what happens and where the drawing goes.

My final illustration for the class is a combination of photography and illustration. I have always been an devout fan of the artist that draw over historical photos, or just any, the look is tight. So i'll try my hand at it. These are the two pictures i'm going to try and work with

Week 10 Final Sketch

This is the final result of my Sketch. I actually ended up making some minor adjustments and just played with the concept. At first, I had plans on doing it with color pencil or water color pencil, but I did my first attempt with photoshop and here are the results. I'm sure as I continue to practice I will get better at it but I had fun trying it out.
