Week Six - Michael Hussar

I came across this artist after searching the site http://www.conceptart.org (which is very useful if you are interested in concept art). If you look at Hussars other works of art it's apparent he enjoys creating disturbing and obscene illustrations/paintings. Most of his art centers around a nightmarish character who is deformed or mutilated in some way. In the piece I chose the character is a fat and pale looking clown sucking on a lollipop with huge swollen lips. But the color and texture of the candy imitates blood. This is actually one of his less creepy works. A lot of the other pieces involve nudity or mutilated people with bees covering them.
