I thought this was a great propaganda style illustration. I think the artist really achieved the graphic art style you see in a lot of old propaganda posters from around World War II and the Cold War, plus I've always wondered what it would be like on the dark side. The lower portion has a really great font along with the dual symbols. The characters in the background really tie in the "propaganda" feeling joined with the stance of Vadar. If it was any more detailed I think that it would lose a lot of its intended aesthetic and would not look like something out of the 1940s anymore.
I love alternative art, especially when its star wars. This image reminds me of old world war 2 posters.
ReplyDeletehaha i love when people make propaganda like posters for movies and stuff
ReplyDeleteThe bold design, muted colors, and recognizably retro type with some hand-drawn wonkiness to it really makes it believable as a period piece.
