Rafal Olbinski
Olbinski is an American contemporary painter and illustrator of surrealism. Drawing influences from Salvador Dali, he creates landscapes that blend in with other parts of life, like other natural elements usually not found together, people, and objects. He frequently uses plays on surfaces and planes, turning one mundane object into something more beautiful, more complex, and something unexpected. He blends the real word with something that is completely unreal, yet familiar. These strange works leave us wondering what the true meaning behind everything is, and it makes us realize that we are all connected to our surroundings and peers more than we know. He makes the random and chaotic dream world a reality.
He has designed posters, worked on paintings, and even designed sets for Broadway. After emigrating from Poland to the USA, he established himself as a painter and won many award and opened many galleries. Currently he teaches at art schools in New York and still freelances.
